LG today unveiled the G6, the first major flagship smartphone of 2017. Huawei has confirmed that it is blocking third-party launchers from the Chinese version of EMUI 9.0. The company is rolling out EMUI 9.0 as a part of the Android 9.0 Pie update for its existing devices. The company is doing this so as to combat questionable behavior from third-party retailers who manually sideload malware and ad-infested launchers in its devices before selling it to customers. We had the Tornado Black edition and while it did not exactly turn heads or attract attention, it did look very elegant in an understated manner (attention seekers, get the Volcano Orange). At the start of 2013, LG introduced a competitor to the Galaxy Note II that was called the Optimus G Pro. It had the same 5.5 inch screen as the Note, but with a higher 1080p resolution. Today, a flyer leaked in Korea with a photo of a slightly tweaked G Pro called the “Gx”. Same 5.5 inch 1080p screen, and allegedly the same Snapdragon 600, but I think that’s a typo....
