HTC, today, announced that it will be bringing a dual-SIM variant of its 2013 flagship – the HTC One – to the United Kingdom. Apart from dual-SIM functionality, this variant of One will also include a microSD card slot that supports microSD cards of up to 64GB. HTC has already been selling the dual-SIM variant of the One in some of the Asian markets including China and India. Apart from the inclusion of an extra microSIM card slot and a microSD card slot, the specs of the handset remain the same as its single SIM variant....

Earlier in this year, HTC had confirmed that it will be launching its first wearable towards the end of this year. However, it looks like the company’s plan has not gone according to schedule, leading it to push back the release date of its first wearable to next year. In a statement issued to Re/Code by Jason Mackenzie, HTC’s America head, the company “had originally planned to have a wearable launch in this time frame,” but “it ended up just not being ready....

Chailin Chang, HTC’s Chief Financial Officer, has just been put in charge of the Taiwanese handset maker’s global sales. The new HP Spectre x360 is touted as one of the thinnest convertible notebooks in the market and it is pretty light at 1.26kgs. HP claims that they have made some minor changes to the design and this includes a more angular body that is paired with Dark Ash Silver and Copper accents. Other novelties in the Spectre X360 include an integrated privacy screen option and fingerprint login. Do you own an HTC One (M8) and itch to try out CyanogenMod on it? Well, here is some good news for you. Starting today, the CyanogenMod team will begin rolling out official CM11 nightlies for HTC’s latest flagship. The nightly builds will be available under the ‘m8’ codename and will support the GSM as well as the CDMA (read Sprint and Verizon) variants. Do keep in mind that the first builds might be a bit buggier than usual so if stability is of your prime concern, it’s better to wait for a couple of weeks before installing CyanogenMod on your One (M8)....

At an event in Shanghai, China, HTC announced its flagship handset for the country — the One M9+. On paper, the handset packs better specs than the One M9, which includes a 5.2-inch Quad HD display and a fingerprint sensor. The MediaTek chipset on the handset might not perform as well as the Snapdragon 810 chip found inside the One M9, but it is likely that it will help the M9+ to deliver better battery life and not face any overheating issues faced by its international sibling....

HTC has started sending out invites for its “Double Exposure” event to be held in New York on October 8. The teaser image does not reveal anything about the event but does show two ladies using an HTC One M8 and probably taking a selfie. It is tough to tell if the event is for the new Nexus 9 tablet that HTC is working on with Google or for a new selfie focused phone from the Taiwanese OEM....

The device that Microsoft introduced is the 300e, a 2-in-1 system that includes pen support for the Windows version. However, Lenovo is also offering the 300e in a Chromebook edition for the same $279 starting price. The Chrome-running version lacks pen support and relies on a MediaTek MTK 8173C processor instead of the Intel Apollo Lake CPUs that the Windows 300e will ship with. Lenovo has an even cheaper option in the 100e, which has a traditional clam-shell design, an Intel Celeron N3350 processor, and a $219 price point whether you choose the Windows or Chromebook flavor....
